Description
The campus as it was in the early twentieth century. New tennis courts were built across a field from Smiley and Renwick Gymnasium. The skies are overcast. Writing on the reverse of the photograph describes the donation of the tennis courts: "W.A. Hearst built these courts for the college as a gift after he had made a moving picture here. The parking lot for Edmunds Union is just about where courts were."
