First photograph caption dated July 17, 1957 reads "Beat Drums. Drummers line up with regalia they will take along on U.S.-Canadian concert tour, longest ever for Robin Hood Band sponsored by International Order of Foresters in Van Nuys. Youngsters from throughout Southland will take part in 27-day tour which begins Saturday in Modesto. David Baskerville will conduct." Second photograph caption dated November 15, 1957 reads "When the Christmas helicopter brings Santa Claus on a state visit to the May Co. Valley Saturday, the old gentleman's arrival in the May Co. parking lot at 10:30 a.m. will be signalled by a thunder of drums. The Independent Order of Foresters Robin Hood Band's corps of marching drummers will be there to welcome Santa as he greets thousands of Valley youngsters in the May Co. Valley store."
