Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated April 18, 1962 partially reads, "The spring season's greatest Whatzit has turned up at Disneyland to prove that Uncle Walt is a showman even before what he's building gets built. Whatzit (see photo) became a big attraction the day it took form. What it will be, when completed for the summer '62 tourist invasion, most of Disneyland's visitors these days do not know, but speculation ranges from wild to far out... Whatzit is a crazy silhouette of various sized steel pipes welded together and reaching out like the tentacles of an octopus in all directions... That's Disneyland and what Whatzit is, come June, is a tree house the likes of which no boy or man has ever seen."
