Description
Photograph of exterior view of Maryland Hotel in Pasadena after fire, ca. 1915. In the foreground at center, four people can be seen standing near the curb alongside the hotel. One of the people holds an umbrella above his head. Further down the street, a group of men lift what appears to be a large table near an automobile. In the background at center, a section of the hotel has been badly burned, and parts of the structure have crumbled to the ground. Furniture, splintered pieces of wood, and metal bars all lay exposed. Half of a tree sitting beside the hotel has also been burned. The area has been roped off.
