Description
A monthly newsletter directed towards school personnel in the "War Relocation Centers." "It is designed as a substitute for the staff meetings and conferences which distance and travel restrictions make impossible." The newsletter includes articles addressing the philosophy of schools in the incarceration camps and their overarching goal of "reabsorption of loyal men and women of Japanese ancestry into productive occupations in permitted areas." It also contains a book review and basic information about the schools at each incarceration camp. Transcription is found in item: ecm_wells_9936. Collection of documents and ephemera from Harry Bentley Wells, teacher at Manzanar War Relocation Center High School and Shirley Elizabeth Wells, registered nurse (R.N.) at Manzanar War Relocation Center. This collection includes correspondence, memos, reports, student papers, grade book, commencement program, prom invitation, and other memorabilia from the eleven months H. Bentley Wells was employed at Manzanar.
