Description
Photograph of a panoramic view looking east toward Broadway and 3rd Street, ca.1885. Several churches are prominent in the cityscape. The first spire on the left is the First Presbyterian Church, the second spire on the right is the First Congregational Church, and in between the two is the Jewish synagogue. In the distance (above the First Congregation Church spire) is the dome of Saint Vibiana's Cathedral. Trees densely surround homes in the foreground and sparsely throughout the city in the background.
