Several Japanese Americans stand outside the Yokohama Specie Bank (Yokohama Sho¯kin Ginko¯) located at 120 South San Pedro Street in Little Tokyo after hearing President Roosevelt's order of freezing all Japanese assets in the United States. After the war, Yokohama Specie Bank became The Bank Of Tokyo, Ltd. in 1947, and in 1953 it established a San Francisco subsidiary called The Bank of Tokyo California (BOTC).
