Description
The old Lincoln Heights jail was being demolished today, while plans were being completed for a new five-story, class A jail to rise on the site. The lower picture shows the "fall of the bastile," workmen tearing out the cell blocks of the old jail. The upper picture shows the new Lincoln Heights jail as it will appear when completed. Bids for the construction of the new jail today were being examined by the board of public works. Photo dated: October 16, 1930.
