Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The Streamline Moderne style Hollywood Park, built in 1937, was located at 1050 South Prairie Avenue in Inglewood. It was designed by architect Stiles O. Clements and landscape architect Edward Huntsman-Trout. Later additions to the park were designed by Fred Barlow, Jr. In 2012, the property was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park. The park closed in May, 2013 and development of a football stadium complex began in October, 2016. Photograph caption dated October 30, 1959 reads "Fleet harness horses race around first turn and into the backstretch at Hollywood Park, where Western Harness Racing Association is nearing the midpoint of its autumn meeting. The French champion Jamin goes postward tomorrow in the second leg of the $75,000 American Trotting Classic. Undefeated in three starts in this country, Jamin won the first heat of the trot Classic last week." The racetrack is in Inglewood.
