"Die Ziegelei in Kakozi." ("The brickyard in Kakozi."). On the left: several lines of bricks. Behind it: a haystack. On the right: four lines of low walls. Beside these walls: bricks lying on the ground and a pile of wood. Behind: presumably a brick-kiln. In the foreground: a nearly rectangular hole in the ground. One copy is missing. -- Werner Hauffe (1909-1982) was a carpenter and later a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. From 1933 to 1939, he served in Rungwe, Utengule and Isoko. In Utengule, he was an assistant to Brother Gemuseus. In 1937 he married Irmgard Wolff.
