Description
Photograph caption dated July 15, 1957 reads "California Highway partolmen cars stop in foreground as billowing smoke from oil sump rises skyward. Traffic was detoured through Newhall several hours. Investigators said that blaze started near this point in Weldon Canyon. One of first things burned was oil sump. Two structures and automobile were burned. There were no injuries."
