Photograph caption dated June 18, 1948 reads, "Surveying scores for their bowling team, members of Molly Pitcher Post 782 of the American Legion also are keeping an eye on the competition. Left to right are, seated, M. R. Curry, retiring commander; Frances O'Brien, incoming commander; standing, Neva DeMoss, Miriam Michael and Zilda DeCarlo, team captain. Membership in the post is open to women veterans in Valley."
