Description
V2p90c In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 90 center right. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Group photo of 29 prominent citizens gathered for an elaborate meal. Six are identified in the text with corresponding numbers on the photo. Text written under photo: "Panama Pacific Executive Committee. 1-Rolph, Mayor Jas 2-Julius Kahn, 3-P.H. McCarthy ex Mayor. 4-James McNabb [sic, McNab] 5-Wm. E Dargie, 6-Governor [James N.] Gillette [sic, Gillett]." None of these men were members of the P.P.I.E. Executive committee, so the actual nature of this meeting is unknown. Also have negative no. (4x5 in.): 29,766.
