Description
A group of Mayan men carry a coffin for to its grave during a funeral at a cemetery in Patzún, Chimaltenango. Groups of Mayan women, men and children surround the cemetery. Many in the crowd are wearing colorful clothing. The funeral service was held for a Mayan civilian who was allegedly killed by guerilleros. Scattered throughout the cemetery are several small and colorful mausoleums. Un grupo de hombres mayas cargan un ataúd a su sepultura durante un servicio fúnebre en un cementerio en Patzún, Chimaltenango. Grupos de mujeres, hombres y niños mayas rodean el cementerio. El servicio funerario fue para un civil maya que presuntamente fue asesinado por guerrilleros. Dispersados por el cementerio se observan varios mausoleos pequeños y coloridos.
