The Industrial Association of the San Fernando Valley was formed in 1949 and is a non-profit organization made up of retailers, banks, chambers of commerce, government agencies and other professional groups and serves to increase employment opportunities and protect the interests of Valley property owners and investors. Photograph dated January 14, 1954 shows Dr. Richard Mead, right, USC marketing professor, in a meeting with the Industrial Association of the San Fernando Valley, illustrating the problems that may result from the Valley's estimated population growth. On the left is Industrial Association chairman, Judge David Fulwider. The meeting took place at Eaton's restaurant in Studio City.
