Photograph of San Mateo, private chapel of Don Manuel Chavez, Laguna, New Mexico, ca.1900. The chapel has a small altar, at center, at one end of the room, with another smaller altar at right. On the altar at center are many candlesticks and a crucifix. The altar on the right has an overhanging veil with flowers decorating the perimeter of it. Several framed pictures hang from the walls. On the wooden floor lies a piece of white cloth with a flower arrangement on top of it. A chair and two benches stand against the walls.
