Photograph caption dated April 17, 1963 reads, "Sidney Dennis, 13, daughter of rancher-businessman Bob Dennis of Chatsworth, stands beside the horse she'll be riding as queen of the second annual San Fernando Valley Rodeo scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Devonshire Downs in Northridge. Admission for children under 12 is 75 cents; general, $1.50; reserved seats, $2.50, and box seats, $3. Valley rodeo will feature more than 250 cowboys from throughout the United States competing for some $12,000 in prize money in various events."
