Hardyman alleged that H. C. Burkheimer, Publisher of Glendale News Press, shoved and assaulted Hugh him at his home during a meeting of the Crescenta-Canada Democratic Club. Nineteen others, many who happen to be members of the American Legion, were also named. Photograph dated December 8, 1947.
