Description
Four women ride horses at William Land Park in this circa 1930 photograph. In the background and to the north are several residences. The brick structure in the middle of the photograph is at 1901 13th Ave., and the Tudor-style house at the far right is at 1957 13th Ave. Most of the homes bracketing the park were built between the 1920s and 1940s. The car to the left is using one of the park’s many access roads. Freeport Boulevard and the newly founded Sacramento Junior College would be to the right of the scene and out of view.
