Description
Picture of famed Howard Hughes seaplane about to lift off from water during its first and only flight. Hughes presented photo to Long Beach Harbor Manager, with inscription that reads: 'To Eloi J. Amar: Your past kindness and cooperation is truly appreciated. I hope someday that Long Beach will regard this plane with a certain amount of pride. Howard Hughes.' Official name was Hughes H-4 Hercules.
