Description: Picture of famed Howard Hughes seaplane about to lift off from water during its first and only flight. Hughes presented photo to Long Beach Harbor Manager, with inscription that reads: 'To Eloi J. Amar: Your past kindness and cooperation is truly appreciated. I hope someday that Long Beach will regard this plane with a certain amount of pride. Howard Hughes.' Official name was Hughes H-4 Hercules.
