Pictured in 1950 is Mrs. Alice Lane, President of the Loani Club, a Sacramento area organization involved with the handicapped. Based at 1818 Capitol Avenue, the organization was founded in 1948 by Sacramento and Colonial Heights resident Ken Hudnell, a longtime sufferer of arthritis. LOANI is an acronym for Look Out And Not In.
