Description
Andre Dubus discusses his book, “The Garden of Last Days.” He begins by discussing the central character of the book, April. April is a single mother who works in a strip club to support her and her daughter. The plot thickens when April crosses paths with the suicide bombers from 9-11. Dubus explains the writing and research process that he went through in order to write this book. He details his research on strippers, Saudi Arabia, Islam, and Al-Qaeda. He goes on to discuss the possible film adaption of the book and who might play the lead roles. Also in this interview he briefly discusses his book “House of Sand and Fog” and its film adaption.
