Description
A well-to-do ham radio station, 1913, with the latest in receiving and transmitting equipment. Includes two audion tubes (on desk, left) with antenna tuner above; mid desk (left to right) is a variable receiver and capacitor, marble-based key, and a wave meter (open lid). On right of desk is a rotary spark transmitter, on a condenser box. (Date is on calendar on far right, lower wall). On wall above desk is a log (above tuner), a Continental Code list, and a US radio license. On floor, under left end of desk, is a battery. In bookshelves, is an electrolytic detector with acid jar on shelf above; below, among books, is Walter Massie's Wireless Telegraphy and Telephony (Underhill, 1908).
