Description
Slide dated October 1972. Slide dated October 1972. A Burbank Daily Review August 23 article reads, "The design of Burbank's entry in the 1973 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade was unveiled before the City Council Tuesday night by Steven Eberle, president of the Burbank Tournament of Roses Association. The parade theme this year, Eberle said, is "Movie Memories" and Burbank's entry will be "Neptune's Daughter" the name of an old moving staring Esther Williams. Clark Jellison, designer of last year's entry, was chosen again this year in a citywide contest. Eberle said he is trying to cut costs with this entry by using as much of the old float frame as possible."
