Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated October 13, 1960 reads "Representatives of nearly 50 families marched past sprawled dolls and twisted baby carriages at North Hollywood intersection of Arminta street and Tujunga avenue in demonstration for crossing guards near Arminta Street Elementary School at Beck avenue and Strathern street. Steve di Francesco and Mrs. Annette Sokol, who organized march, said there were no sidewalks on Strathern, forcing some 125 children to walk in street each morning."
