Photograph article dated October 21, 1963 partially reads, "An educational exhibit explaining features of the proposed Malibu nuclear power generating station is being conducted by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The exhibit will be open to the public Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 10 [sic] a.m. to 5 p.m. at the proposed plant site, 23732 Malibu Rd. A series of illustrated panels tell the story of the scientific achievements that make possible peaceful use of atomic energy to provide electric power in many parts of the world today, spokesmen said." Engineer T. M. Blakeslee explains operations of $96-million project.
