View of the first patrol boat of the Los Angeles police fleet. Los Angeles police officials cruise around the harbor area, aboard the first of two 38-foot patrol boats recently acquired from the navy, for police work. Flanking the cabin are Chief William Parker (left) and Capt. Henry Evans, in charge of the harbor division. In their first official act, they dumped confiscated guns into the harbor.
