Description: Front and side views of Peter Hardeman Burnett's house, 441 North First Street. Burnett was the first governor of the state of California. The house was built in Alviso; it was moved to San Jose in 1854. At the time this photograph was taken, the California Printing Company had set up its business in this house. The building was razed in 1955.
