Description
Photograph of the ruins of a large stamp mill at "old picacho", June, 14, 1935. Short, skeletal trees crowd the foreground with portions of the crumbled stone walls of the mill standing behind them on the left. The exterior walls as well as the roof have fallen and the interior walls are exposed. The mill appears to have been built into the abutting hill behind it where dirt now spills down into the interior rooms. Rocks fall along the empty dirt hill on the right while taller hills stand above the mill in the background. Photoprint reads "I presume now flooded by Imperial Dam". Probably, in Imperial County.
