Photograph caption dated July 14, 1956 reads, "Monkey snatches nut - Mickey, another of Mrs. Art's white-faced monkeys, puts snatch on nut left for litter of baby squirrels. Squirrels, only two weeks old, were rescued by Mrs. Art's son after their mother was killed in accident. Despite advice that it was impossible to raise baby squirrels in captivity, Mrs. Art consulted Fish and Wild Life Service and public library for information, experimented with diet and squirrels are thriving."; See images #00145898 through #00145904 for all photos in this series.
