Photograph caption reads: "Lew Johnson releases recovered hawk Miriah in La Canada's Descanso Gardens". "Lew Johnson, one of several members of the Alliance for Wildlife releases rare hawk at La Canada's Descanso Gardens. The group adopted the bird when it was found too young to care for itself (4-5 wks. old) and nurtured it till the bird was old enough to be released at 4 mos. of age". Photograph dated: July 7, 1985.
