Description
Photograph of man photographing a model waterway system from an elevated platform, ca.1925. At center, a man is seen standing atop a wooden platform supported by a large crane. Wooden rains surround the platform, and the man leans over one of the rails with his camera to take a picture of the waterway model below. The arm of the crane connects to a system of pulleys, wires, and a crank as seen on the far right in the background. Below the man, water is seen moving against cement ridges down narrow channels. Small gates line one of the channels. In the background to the far left, metal pipes and valves sit adjacent to a large wall. Beyond the barred-gates and walls, palm trees and other forms of vegetation can be seen. In the extreme background, a house greatly obscured by the trees is slightly visible.
