Description: Correspondence in the form of letters, cables, telegrams and notes chiefly between Alice M. Head and William Randolph Hearst. The majority are in regards to auction sales and purchasing antiques, tapestries and a stone mantel. One letter from Hearst references the stock market crash and the Marion Davies film, Marianne. Also includes an auction catalog for the sale of Chinese porcelain and old English furniture at Sotheby & Co. in London.
