Photograph caption dated December 24, 1962 reads, "Bonnie's project - Bonnie Bacon, 13, Pacoima, isn't afraid to get her hands dirty as she fashions rocks for float from plaster of paris." The Bethlehem Star Parade is an annual project which represents the efforts of many groups in the Valley. Thirty-six churches will furnish floats depicting scenes from one of the seven periods of Christ's life - Prophecy, Nativity, Boyhood, Ministry, Miracles, the Period of Trial and Suffering, and Resurrection. An estimated 200,000 people will line Van Nuys Blvd. in Van Nuys to watch the Christmas spectacle. Thousands more will watch the all-religious parade over television.; See images #00115740 through #00115743 for all photos in this series.
