Description
This 1919 booklet features a reprint of an article written in The Nation, entitled "Ol' Rags An' Bottles," a "vivid and dramatic account of the trial of forty-six members of the Industrial Workers of the World." The forty-five men and one woman were arrested under the "blanket indictment charging violation of the Espionage Act." The charge against these I.W.W. members was for "conspiracy to hinder the prosecution of the war by overt acts." On January 16, 1919, all forty-six I.W.W. members were found guilty.
