Photograph was edited for publication purposes After producing her play, "A Woman's Place," Ann Marcus enjoyed a successful and long-lasting career as a television screenwriter, writing episodes for several hit shows including, "Knots Landing," "Falcon Crest," "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," and "Please Don't Eat the Daisies," among others. She was married to screenwriter, Ellis Marcus and is the sister of actress, Tracey Roberts and screenwriter Ray Goldstone. Photograph article dated July 6, 1962 partially reads, "Studio City playwright Ann Marcus believes that 'A Woman's Place' is wherever the woman finds the most fulfillment. However, in her first play, a comedy coincidentally titled, 'A Woman's Place,' the heroine turns her back on a glamorous career for 'home, hubby and the kiddies.' The play will be shown at the Professional Theater Center, 780 N. Gower St., Hollywood...Many of the family situations in 'A Woman's Place' -and most of the funniest lines--were taken from events that actually happened in Ann's home. She and her husband, TV writer Ellis Marcus, have three children, Steve, 15, John 13, and Ellen, 3." Photograph shows Ann Marcus relaxing poolside with her daughter Ellen.
