Photograph caption dated November 13, 1954 reads "Charlene Lance, center, receives congratulations from Carolyn Williams and Dick Kronen upon being chosen 'Queen of Sno-Ball,' annual kick-off dance of Far West Ski Association held last Friday evening at the Los Angeles Breakfast Club. Charlene belongs to 'Ski Lions,' active ski club at Valley Junior College, and was chosen queen from a field of 15 finalists. Dick Kronen is vice president of the Far West Ski Association, while Carolyn Williams is chairman of the annual affair."
