Description
Image depicts miners engaged in various types of mining: panning for gold, using a long tom, sluicing, using a well, and wheeling an ore cart out of a mine entrance. Baird notes that this image is related to "River Mining" in its format and execution. "Published at the Wide West Office, 184 Clay Street. Anthony & Baker SC."--text, below image. "[Noi]sy Carriers, [S]an Francisco."--stamped text, upper left corner of the image. There are two handwritten uppercase letters beneath the title of the image. Paper color: gray.
