Photograph caption dated March 11, 1964 reads, "Screaming, kicking, spitting, the man suspected of kidnaping [sic] North Hollywood Police Officer George L. Hampton is carried forcibly for transfer to Los Angeles County General Hospital's jail ward for treatment of face cuts.
