Description: Ben Hays Hartwell; he was Constable for Sausalito Township from 1920-25, which included Mill Valley, Belvedere, Tiburon, Stinson & Bolinas. From 1928-35 he was Marin County Constable and from 1935-68 served with the Mill Valley Police Dept, retiring as Sergeant.
