Description
Francis H. Clauser, the Clark Blanchard Millikan Professor of Engineering, he was a founder of modern aeronautics and helped usher in the Space Age. Clauser arrived at the dawn of the environmental movement, launched Caltech's interdisciplinary graduate program in environmental engineering science and established the Environmental Quality Laboratory, or EQL. In this talk, recorded during the 1973 Caltech Alumni Day, he studied the scientific, engineering, economic, and political aspects the pollution control issue in California.
