Description
A photograph of a man riding a steer on the California State Fair racetrack during a rodeo event. The event rider wears a cap and street clothes indicating that he may be a challenger for a prize based on how long a contender could hang on to the wild steer. A small group of traditionally dressed cowboys on horses are positioned around the action in case assistance is required. This particular rodeo took place between July 18-22, 1930.
