Description
In the wake of the October 17, 1989, Loma Prieta Earthquake, Caltrans commissioned an oral history project to document the personal and professional experiences of Caltrans employees who worked to restore the State's damaged transportation system. Bob Keim was a Bridge Engineer for Caltrans. His regular work duties involved inspecting the San Mateo and Dunbarton Bridges, and this recording captures his observations of inspecting both bridges after the Loma Prieta Earthquake. This recording should be preserved because it describes the actual damage that was observed on both bridges after the earthquake.
