In the center background several horse-drawn carriages stand side-by-side, while a one-story building with a sloped roof is visible behind the carriages. A sign reading, "Healdsburg" is affixed to the side of the building. A large tree is visible at left, while its branches frame the top. Train tracks are visible running to the right of the tree from bottom right towards the left. A patch of grass is enclosed by a wooden and wire fence towards the right, while a palm tree and other trees are visible growing in the grass. A train is visible behind and to the right of the carriages and palm tree, while a man is visible standing in the opening of one of the railway cars. Utility poles and the tops of trees are visible in the background.
