Clipping contains end portion of an article that details the results of a meeting between Owens Valley residents and officials from Los Angeles over buying prices for Owens Valley land. Article includes prices offered by the City of Los Angeles for Lone Pine, Laws, Independence, Big Pine, and Bishop. In article, Owens Valley residents argue that the prices are too low. Los Angeles city officials counter that the prices originated from valuations of the city properties at the time.
