Image of a young woman wearing an apron and sitting next to a basket of apples; with a date sheet for performances beginning on January 31, [1885], at the Brooklyn Theatre in New York pasted at lower left; the poster advertises the melodrama "Hoodman Blind" by Wilson Barrett and Henry Jones.
Probable date based on date sheet information on item; Hoodman Blind played at the Brooklyn Theatre from January 31st to February 5th in 1887 (Odell, Annals of the New York Stage, Vol. XIII, page 359). "W.J. Morgan & Co. / Lith. Cleveland, O."--text, lower right. "Brooklyn / Theatre / Return for One Week Only / commencing Monday, / Jan. 31 / Matinees Wednesday & Saturday"--text, date sheet, lower left. "200 Nights / Princess Theatre London. / 50 Nights / Wallack's Theatre New York."--text, bottom left and right. "With All the Original Scenery Mechanical Effects / Frank W. Sanger / Manager."--text, bottom centered.
