During their first official visit to Pepperdine University's new Malibu campus, Ronald and Nancy Reagan took part in the dedication of a redwood sapling, which was their contribution to the "Trees for Pepperdine" campaign. Here, Pepperdine President William S. Banowsky holds a plaque carved for Governor Reagan by Pepperdine faculty member Bill Youngs during a meal in the Tyler Campus Center following the ceremony.
