The silhouettes of a man and a woman can be seen as they exit the waters of an undisclosed Southern California beach, each holding a small inflatable raft or "mattress". These rubber vessels have been extremely popular for years and have been enjoyed by generations of beach-goers, not only because they are fairly inexpensive beach "toys", but because they can be used by children and adults alike. A palm frond frames this photograph on the right.
