Description
Two men and two women stand around a snowman after a rare southern California snowfall. The snowman is built on the lawn just south of the library building, with the loggia of the Huntington residence in the background. MS notes on verso read "Huntington grounds ; snow scene: Jan. 11, 1948" and "1. Dorothy Bowen (standing) ; 2. ; 3. Graydon Spalding ; 4. Irwin Morrkish". Date should read January 11, 1949.
