Pictured is Mrs. Mildred Simrell, 38, a nurse's aid, and the ex-wife of Elmer Simrell who was suspected of sending threatening letters to six Superior Court judges and other court officials. Mrs. Simrell barricaded herself in her home at 10518 Rainier St., Sun Valley, after seeing her ex-husband's car as she was driving home, because she was 'scared to death' he would come after her. Photograph dated May 20, 1959.
